G.I. JOE: RETALIATION's Jon Chu is intent on keeping busy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chu is in late talks to helm Disney's adaptation of the hit young adult novel, MATCHED.
Set in a dystopian future, in which the masses' most basic decisions - what to read, watch, believe, who to love - are all dictated by the government. The story follows one young woman who decides to break away from what The Society expects, and carve out her own path.
Michelle and Kieran Mulroney penned the script. Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are set to produce through Offspring Entertainment.
Chu's other credits include STEP UP 2: THE STREETS, STEP UP 3D, and the Justin Bieber documentary, NEVER SAY NEVER.
G.I. JOE: RETALIATION is set to hit theaters on March 29.
