Felicity Jones Confirms Role in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

British actress FeliciTy Jones has confirmed that she will be joining Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and more in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - though refused to say just who she'd be playing.

In an interview with RTL Netherlands, the actress said, "I've never done a superhero movie. It's very nice to you as an actor in several worlds to go and to experiment." ComicBookMovie.com first caught the news and aptly Google-translated.

Though Jones is keeping mum on which character she'll be taking on, io9 over in the Gawker-verse has speculated that the actress may be prepping to Don Black Cat's infamous slinky suit. Black Cat/Daily Bugle admin Betty Brant is one of Spider-Man's most infamous sort-of villains, a major thief who often crosses paths with the web-head wonder.

As earlier reported by BroadwayWorld, both Garfield and Stone are set to reprise their roles of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey in the sequel, with Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborne, Sally Field as Peter's Aunt May, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, and Jamie Foxx as Electro. Marc Webb is also set to return as director.

The Amazing Spider-Man reexamined the origin story of Peter Parker who, like most teenagers his age, is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. In his journey to put the pieces of his past together he uncovers a secret that his father held...a secret that will ultimately shape his destiny as Spider-Man.

Production on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has just begun in order to meet the film's May 2nd, 2014 release date.
