Stage and screen crossover stars Emilia Clarke and Iain Glen re-team onscreen for Season Three of HBO's tentpole adult fantasy series Game of Thrones in a new clip just released.
Featuring Clarke as fierce dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen (Clarke) alongside her right hand man, advisor Jorah Mormont (Glen), the ship-set scene from S3 Episode 1 also showcases a fan-favorite feature of the Epic series based on George R.R. Martin's A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE series: dragons.
"Growing fast," Mormont says of the teenage, fire-spewing dragon as it flies and flits about and flaunts its fiery fury in a spectacular show for its human mother. "Not fast enough - I can't wait that long," Daenerys qualifies with very intense ardor. "I need an army."
An army of eunuchs perhaps? Wait and see!
GAME OF THRONES Season Three premieres March 31 at 9 PM on HBO.
Clarke can currently be seen eight times a week on Broadway in the new production of BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S, written by Richard Greenberg and directed by Sean Mathias, from the novel by Truman Capote. Glen famously appeared on Broadway opposite Nicole Kidman in Sam Mendes's production of THE BLUE ROOM by David Hare, as well as creating countless memorable characters in a host of West End productions.
