As first reported on Deadline.com, Dermot Mulroney has joined the cast of the upcoming biopic JOBS which will follow the life of the late Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple. He will join previously announced cast members Ashton Kutcher who will play the lead role of Jobs, The Book of Mormon‘s Josh Gad as Steve Wozniak, Lukas Haas as Kotke and Ahna O’Reilly as Chris-Ann Brennan.
The actor will portray Mike Markkula, described as someone "who believes in the vision Jobs displays, but is torn between the wunderkind and the board." JOBS will be penned by Matt Whiteley and directed by Joshua Michael Stern. Mark Hulme and Gil Cates Jr. are producing.
Mulroney starred in My Best Friend's Wedding alongside Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz. His other film credits include Young Guns, The Last Outlaw, Bad Girls, The Family Stone and The Wedding Date. Among his TV credits is a guest star role on NBC's Friends.
