Comediva, The Jeremy Lin Phenomenon, Raymond Lee, Cynthia Addai-Robinson,
Taiwanese-American basketball star and New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin has breathed new life into the AsIan Male sex symbol, providing the inspiration for Comediva’s latest short, "The Jeremy Lin Phenomenon." The video, now viewable on Youtube, depicts two unassuming Asian men who are viewed as the epitome of sexy and cool thanks to their racial association with Jeremy Lin.
The video features actress Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Spartacus: Vengeance) and was created and produced by Broadway and Hart of Dixie star Deborah S. Craig. Craig, an Asian-American trailblazer in her own right, originated the first Korean-American character in a Broadway musical in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and currently plays “Shelley Ng”, TV’s first Southern Asian character on CW’s hit show Hart of Dixie.
According to Craig, the significance of Jeremy Lin’s success and presence in popular extends far beyond the world of sports. "Asian-American dudes just don't get a fair shake with the ladies. Then Jeremy Lin came along. Suddenly the ladies are paying attention. Jeremy Lin has changed the perception of Asian American ballers forever! This video is about how Jeremy Lin has changed the game...again."
The “Jeremy Lin Phenomenon” is now available for viewing on the Comediva website here.
