Tim Realbuto, who co-wrote and directed the popular NYMF musical Ghostlight, which starred Rachel York, Michael Hayden, and Tony Award winner Daisy Eagan, is currently in the process of optioning his first screenplay.

Realbuto, who is also an actor, is working with Breaking Glass Pictures and Vicious Circle Films to produce The Hyde Club, Realbuto's psychological thriller about five best friends and the dangers that await them on a weekend camping trip. They hope to begin filming some time this year. Realbuto will also star.

It has been rumored that actress Monica Keena (Freddy vs. Jason; "Dawson's Creek"), who used to do stage work with Realbuto when they were both kids, is in talks to play one of the other lead roles.

According to an insider, Godspell and Spring Awakening's Hunter Parrish (SAG Award Nominee for "Weeds") and Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Academy Award Nominee Patricia Clarkson have also been offered roles.

The same insider also teases that a popular A list, award winning actress is in talks to star, but cannot name her at this time. Emmy Award nominee Patty Jenkins (Monster; "Entourage") has been asked to direct.
