Deadline.com reports that Cameron Diaz is set to join the cast of Ridley Scott's upcoming film THE COUNSELOR. The actress will join previously announced cast members Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz.
The drama is based on an original script by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Cormac McCarthy. Diaz will take on the supporting role of Malkina, while Fassbender portrays a respected lawyer who becomes involved in the drug business and finds himself in a life threatening situation. According to the report, the project is described as "No Country For Old Men on steroids."
Diaz was most recently seen on the big screen in Bad Teacher, and will star in Lionsgate's upcoming comedy What To Expect When You're Expecting.
