As Deadline reported earlier this evening, Bryan Singer has reportedly signed on to come back to the X-MEN franchise, and direct the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST for 20th Century Fox.
Matthew Vaughn helmed the spin-off/reboot of the franchise with X-MEN FIRST CLASS, while Singer directed the franchise's first two installments, which featured Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman.
Fox has already okay-ed the script for DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, with Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Jennifer Lawrence reprising their roles. The studio has tentatively set a July 18, 2014 release for the sequel.
