Blockbuster to Deliver a 'Fan'-tasy League Experience for 2013 Oscars

Film buffs and Hollywood fans alike can look to one of the biggest names in entertainment, BLOCKBUSTER.com, for the best online experience during the 2013 Academy Awards. Today, BLOCKBUSTER announced the launch of BlockbusterAwards.com, an interactive website designed to host, manage and facilitate participation in a fantasy awards league.

BlockbusterAwards.com offers a Blockbuster Awards Night Ballot that allows users to:

- Set up leagues to predict Academy Award winners and invite guests to participate.
- Join leagues hosted by others to see how they stack up against their neighbors.
- Watch a robust collection of trailers and bios on all nominees.

During the live broadcast of the event, BlockbusterAwards.com will update with real-time stats based on individual picks and pools. Participants can track their results from their home computer, iPhone, iPad or Android device.

"The Academy Awards is the biggest event in Hollywood. It is the capstone of the awards season and is now more accessible than ever before," Weinraub said.
