Batman to be Reintroduced in JUSTICE LEAGUE?

According to Ain't it Cool News and the go-to site for all things Bat, BatmanOnFilm.com, the caped crusader might be returning to theaters much sooner than expected.

BatmanOnFilm, which pegged most of The Details in Christopher Nolan's DARK KNIGHT trilogy, reports that the famed hero will be reintroduced in the upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE movie, now set for 2015 - or 2016. In addition, they claim sources have confirmed that the newest solo BATMAN adventure will be released in 2017 - after the JUSTICE movie.

Take everything with a grain of salt, but their previous track record is pretty impressive: they debuted many of the first images from the final film in Nolan's series, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES.

However, the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie hit a bit of a set back in recent weeks. As BWW Movies World previously reported, Ridley Scott has turned down the opportunity to helm the ensemble film. As a result, production on the picture may be pushed back as late as 2016.

Several names have been rumored to be interested in directing the project including Christopher Nolan, David Yates, Ben Affleck and Zack Snyder; however all have evidently passed on the chance.

According to the Comic Book News, the studio is set to 'pitch their version of the movie' and may make an announcement about it within the next three months.

JUSTICE LEAGUE will feature a team of DC Comics superheroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Aquaman. The studio hopes to match the success of this year's blockbuster hit 'The Avengers', also based on comic book heroes. Will Beall is writing the script.
