According to Collider.com, a film adaptation of Irvine Welsh's novel 'Filth' is in the works, and boasts the talents of James McAvoy, Jamie Bell, and Alan Cumming thus far.
In addition to various movie and television roles, Cumming's London stage appearances include Hamlet, the Maniac in Dario Fo's Accidental Death of an Anarchist, for which he received an Olivier award, the lead in Martin Sherman's Bent, and as Dionysus in The National Theatre of Scotland's The Bacchae. On Broadway he has appeared as Mac the Knife in The Threepenny Opera, the Emcee in Cabaret, for which he won the Tony in 1998, and "Design for Living".
McAvoy's film credits include the critically acclaimed Atonement,
for which he received both a Golden Globe and BAFTA nomination for his performance, The Last King Of Scotland which earned him another BAFTA nomination, The Chronicles of Narnia, Bright Young Things, Becoming Jane and Wanted starring Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie. He will be appearing in The Last Station co-starring Helen Mirren due for release in 2009. TV credits include White Teeth, State of Play and Shameless. Theatre credits include Breathing Corpses at the Royal Court, Out in the Open at Hampstead directed by Kathy Burke and Privates on Parade directed by Michael Grandage at the Donmar.
Bell's performance in Billy Elliot garnered him many awards and nominations, among them the BAFTA for Best Performance by an 
Actor in a Leading Role, the Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Newcomer and the London Critics Circle Film Award for British Newcomer of the Year. He was last seen in Doug Liman's Jumper. A hit in London and one of the most highly anticipated shows of that season, the musical adaptation of Billy Elliot officially opened at Broadway's Imperial Theatre on Thursday, November 13th, 2008 and is still going strong.
