Act-1-Offers-Teen-Film-Camp-625-29-Registration-Deadline-625-20010101

Act 1 is offering a Teen Film Camp with instructor Keifer Lucchi, "Act 1 On Location: Adv. Hollywood Production Camp," today, June 25 through June 29. The camp is now open to ages 12 and up. Note: The July 5-7 camp is being combined with this camp. Tuition: $75 ($10 off each tuition if you bring a friend to camp). Register by TODAY, June 25. The camp runs Wednesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

(Three full days with a presentation on Saturday, and a lock-in on Friday night.) Students will learn the basics of what goes into a real life film, by creating one of their own. Students will participate in the areas of cinematography, sound design, video editing, writing, directing, and acting, using professional film equipment to create their own short film of up to three minutes in length.

Students will be taught editing, writing, and camera basics, while creating and acting in their own films, using the "flash film festival" model. ie the students will be done by the end of three days! The students will also participate in producing posters, cases, and DVDs for their own films, which will be showcased at the end of the workshop

Due to a smaller camp enrollment, Act 1 has decided to combine the two film camps into one camp. Act 1 will be holding camp Wednesday, June 27th through Friday, June 29th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (with a lock-in Friday night and movie showing at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30th)

The cost of camp will be $75. If you have already paid more, we will refund the portion that is over that amount. If you have not paid yet, please pay through PayPal this week, by mailing a check to the address above, or by bringing a check the first day of camp--Wednesday. Checks should be made out to “Northland Mission Church.”

If you have filled out the required forms for 2012 and 2013, Act 1 will only need your initial to verify that the information is correct. Fill them out online to save time HERE.

Campers will receive a FREE Camp T-shirt. Campers should bring a water bottle each day and a lunch. Snacks and pop will be available for $1 each. On Friday night, the campers are invited to spend the night and work on their movies over night. Act 1 will premiere their movies on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m.

Act 1 is going to have a BLAST and we are so excited to spend a few days writing a script, learning about light design, camera angles, movie genres, and so much more.

Call with questions: 816-401-0040 or email at act1kc@sbcglobal.net. Act 1 will see you next Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Northland Mission Church.
