Aaron Tveit Names Top TV Shows & Talks GRACELAND

Aaron Tveit Names Top TV Shows & Talks GRACELAND

LES MISERABLES movie musical Breakout star and Broadway regular Aaron Tveit reveals his favorite TV shows, as well as his excitement about his new USA Summer series GRACELAND in a new interview.

Tveit enthuses, "I think the best writing right now is in television."

He adds, "I'm a huge television watcher, I'm a fan of Mad Men and BREAKING BAD. Those shows I think, but obviously starting with THE SOPRANOS and THE WIRE, are why you're seeing film actors who would have never done TV before, all of a sudden want a series. The stigma [about TV] is gone."

Tveit also states that his Broadway background - having appeared in major roles on Broadway in the Pulitzer Prize-winning NEXT TO NORMAL, as well as acting as the star of CATCH ME IF YOU CAN - has prepared him well for his new role of FBI agent Mike Warren on USA's action-packed GRACELAND.

"Being on stage all the time I know you have to keep yourself in shape, so I just treated it the same way," he recounts.

Sadly, Tveit related that GRACELAND did not afford any opportunities to display his serious singing skills - at least not yet - saying that there is "no scripted singing in the [first] season."

On the sunnier side, though, Tveit did confirm he plans to return to the stage very soon. "I really, really wanna get back on stage. It's like an addiction you can't get anywhere else. That energy you have on stage, you can't find it anywhere else. I miss it, I miss singing," he said, continuing: "[I'm] in the Early Stages of putting a concert to do in New York. I'll hopefully be diving in to that [when I get back], so hopefully that will satisfy my desire to sing, even if it's just for myself."

GRACELAND premieres on USA in June.
